Puzzle 1 - WWI Tank

We have recently had an enquiry from a gentleman down south who is researching the tanks that were ‘gifted’ to towns up and down the land, in recognition for their fund-raising efforts for the war effort during World War I. Cockermouth was one such town that received a tank (Maryport received one the same day); a news report for 25.2.1920 records the arrival of the tank and its transfer to a concrete stand at the west end of the Fairfield. What we are hoping to find is a photograph of this tank to complete the story. Does anyone have one, and does anyone know when the tank was removed? It must have proved an irresistible draw for all the children in the town! Please get in touch if you have a picture that we can make a copy of. During the years of the first World War soldiers were brought to Cockermouth Castle for convalescence, to recover from their injuries.
